I have to say the Rain LiveBook performs better than any desktop I've ever used. The "cleanliness" of Windows (no junk programs) as well as the expertise of your tekkies (knowing what to keep/throw away/turn on and off) makes all the difference. I believe you've gained a customer for life.
From the Rain LiveBook system packaging to firing up that monster of a laptop Rain has been a smooth transition from previous systems used. When I needed help tweaking Serato and Reason, RainCare Encompass helped me more than I ever realized. It is a must have! Rock solid at every DJ gig and when I am on the road, producing beats is made simple with one laptop for all my needs as a DJ. Kudos to Rain, I haven’t looked back since and plan on purchasing another system for my in home studio.
The Rain LiveBook is absolutely a gem. I dunno how I lived without it beforehand. I love this machine.

I absolutely love the system and am having a great time recording and editing. I don't have any issues and believe that I owe this to the intelligent application of hardware and software that you people create. The concept of tuning the system to work together makes a lot of sense, but unless it delivered the results, it would only be a concept. Great work!
The sound of "silence" - how nice. Thank you for making a "quiet" computer.
Just wanted to let you know that my recording session went off without a hitch! Almost 5 straight hours of recording without a hick-up. It sure feels like a solid machine and I know it will serve me well. I didn't even bring my ADAT for the "just in case" backup!
You made a great machine and I have confidence I will get years of use (and million dollar recordings) out of it!
I'm a happy RAIN customer. I've got a LiveBook and it's just great. It has enough power to be used as a normal desktop pc, and its portable!!! As a academic studying computers I recognise the quality of this product... the whole system is outstanding. Thanks alot!
For me music is a hobby, I'm not trying to sell cd's, I just want to make music. And the LiveBook gives me everything I need.

I just received my LiveBook and want to compliment you on an impressive piece of equipment.
The stability and performance of the LiveBook won us over. While we've tried many computers with varying degrees of success, LiveBook has given consistently excellent performance with our diverse range of audio, MIDI, and video products. Even more important, it has delivered this performance with perfect stability. And as with most audio applications, stability is our highest priority for our audio demonstrations. So, we bought five!
The LiveBook has a dedicated video card and handles the Motion Dive's video superbly. At the recent CES in Las Vegas, we used the LiveBook to demonstrate Motion Dive 10 hours a day for 4 days straight-not a single hiccup.
My LiveBook is a powerhouse. It has been a one-stop production rig from venue to studio. Whether it's tracking, soft-synths, doing overdubs and rough mixes on the fly to post-production and editing, it's been rock solid. As far as design, those Rain guys weren't kidding, it IS gorgeous. The display is perfect for getting all my windows in to see all the audio action. Talk about processing power, I'm able to record 16 tracks at 48khz/24 bit with no glitches or hiccups. This machine runs super cool--but it is one hot mama.
Thanks... It's reassuring and great to have a reliable, fast, quiet, and capable machine such as the Livebook. I have used it to record several live multitrack performances with fantastic results.
As the hours added up without a crash or a hiccup, I realized there's much more to this sleek silver box than meets the eye... This computer has the look, feel, and performance of a well-crafted instrument, and it's a joy to use.
The LiveBook's entire system, along with the peripherals that came with it, performed beautifully with all of the audio tests I threw at it, including several software installs, audio reading and writing through the various portals and heavy processor use.
